By Nikolai Gogol, adapted by Alistair Beaton
Written in the 1830's Nikolai Gogol's classic comedy is classed as one of the world's best loved comedies and a vehicle for an array of theatrical inventions which will have its audience chuckling from beginning to end.
The corrupt Mayor of a small, poor village has been tipped off by a relative that a Government Inspector is to visit the town to look into its administration. The Mayor and his band of equally corrupt officials immediately leap into panic and even more so when a casual traveller staying at the local inn is mistaken for the Government Inspector!

Four Bouncers, Four Chairs, Four handbags – what more do you need for a side splitting night out at the theatre? In the cold, under a moonlit sky, four bouncers bring to life the people they encounter each night as they stand upright and vigilant outside the nightclubs of 1990’s England. The saucy girls, the naughty young lads, the taxis and the nostalgia bring together a fast-paced visual montage of life.
[Due to the colourful “Bouncer” language used in this production we do not recommend it for children under the age of 14]

Are you still unconvinced by the notion of an Afterlife? Then come and listen to the case given by acclaimed medium Ronnie Buckingham – his aim is to reunite members of the audience with friends and loved ones in the spirit world – and then decide.

Late at night, in a country that could be Chile, a woman waits for her husband to return home. He is late and explains that he had a puncture. Fortunately a passing motorist gave him a lift. A former political prisoner, the woman recognises the stranger’s voice as that of the man who tortured her, something he strenuously denies. The woman wants revenge for her treatment but her husband, a prominent lawyer, insists on justice, not revenge.
But can she really identify a man she never saw, just from his voice and mannerisms? Even if she is correct, can it ever be right to take the law into one’s own hands? And what if she is wrong....?
